Ahhh, had a great weekend away from the city~ I was sick Friday night, so that was no fun, but the rest of the time spent was wonderful! Nearby the cabin we stayed at, was a lake and a field and some very picturesque scenery, so I come bearing pictures!

Good times spent with great people <3 I can't wait for the next cabin trip~ I feel, oddly enough, recharged from this weekend of over-indulgence and sin. I am in a much better mind-set now then I have been the last few weeks, I feel more motivated to do and create things.

Hmmmm. What else. It is June! That means, this month Josh will go to the bank and see how much of a loan he can get, to buy a house! o____o Hooray!!! I am *so* looking forward to this~ God, just thinking of the idea that we could have a house with enough room makes me giddy. A ROOM FOR CRAFTING AND KITCHEN LARGE ENOUGH FOR TWO PEOPLE TO WORK IN AND A BACKYARD FOR A PUPPY (and a garden!) AND A BASEMENT FOR 'THINGS' AND AND AND, AHHHHHHHHH~~~~ I feel like I will get a nosebleed if I think about it too much.

Was all that really hidden back there? You guys didn't mention it being all cool and such.

I want us to add a lazy day inner tube trip to the adventure list sometime this summer.

Aside from the ticks, it was really lovely and relaxing back there. A late night excursion would have been cool.

I've never gone tubing! We keep meaning to, but it never happens 'cause it ends up being icky weather ~__~

There's a great spot in Gwinnett. M and I went with Karis and Jean last year (I think it was last year??). They drop you at the dam and it's only about a 3 hour trip back down to the landing so we could do that any afternoon.

Doing the same in Helen has been discussed several years running but it hasn't happened yet. I'm hoping that can be another late summer trip for us.

My friend Holly and I did one up in Helen and it was not nearly 3 hours. :( [and the water was so low at the time we didn't exactly float...more like dragged or walked]

I've been there a couple of times in the last few years. There's a 2, 3 and a 5hr run for tubing and it's around $12/person for any trip you take. It's pretty mild but still fun with a group of friends. Last year the water was pretty low when I went but still fun. The long run starts at the Buford damn.

Question:

On this last tubing trip you guys did. What time did you guys get there, and what length trip did you take?

We got there at 1:30 but they were slammed so it was after 3 before we got in the water. We did the 3 hour run which is pretty accurate as we got out about 6:30.

They were slammed and stopped taking people around 2:30 because they had two buses dead on them so there were long waits. Earlier is always better.

Jean would like to go again with my sardines... it was awesome! Yes, last year.
