Phew, exciting New Years!
We got up bright and early on the 31st to fly up to Buffalo, NY... Flight was delayed of course, but we had our DSs and the airport to explore so it wasn't too bad. Got up to NY, then drove/shuttled into Niagara and into our hotel room~
This was the view from our room :D Pretty awesome~ Had dinner in the hotel then rested/cleaned up for the party.
Yay pretty, expensive dress XD We didn't get any photos of us looking spiffy together but I should have one soon... The party was, well, kinda crap since there were kids EVERYWHERE. Kinda felt like a middle school dance, plus the DJ was terrrrrible. But there were plenty of free drinks to be had.
I was totally blitzed by this point, when Josh's cousin wanted a 'sultry' picture with me. See that cosmo at the bottom there? Guess where it ended up?
It was drink #2 to meet it's end by my hand. The first one landed on her husband, lol.
It was ok though, I was loaded up again just in time to ring in the new year!
The rest of the night is kind of a drunken haze now, but it was a lot of fun ^___^ That day I'd had a drink on the plane, two at dinner, champagne at dessert, and 6-7 cosmos during the night.
Mmmmm, martian eggs for breakfast XD;;
How Josh felt about our eggs.
How I felt after being awake for far too long with not enough sleep. Somehow we woke up on the 1st at 8:30 AM without hangovers or anything. Amazing.
After breakfast it was time to see the falls up close~ But some of us needed to play in the snow first
Aw, look, we're tourists!
Some water. For reals though, it was pretty awesome! And huge! HUUUUUUUGE! We did the tour that takes you behind the falls, which was pretty cool too :)
MySpace style :D Then it was back to the hotel to get ready for dinner... No pics, but we went to the Skylon for dinner at the rotating resturant... Very awesome! Nothing beats a good view paired with good food~
Back to the hotel again to watch fireworks~
Then Josh and I decided to go back down to the falls again to see them at night... And to get re-engaged ^.^ We wanted to go on the Skywheel (the ferris wheel nearby), but it was way too cold, so we went to the nearby casino, and I won $14.00 (in Canadian of course. durrrrr)~
The fountain outside the casino. We left and went back to our room, and did it while looking at the falls. *nod* That was awesome too.
Then took a nap and got up early as fuck to go back home. The end.
So yes, I had a great new year's! Since we've gotten back things have been great actually, except that I've been sicky-sick off and on the past few days since we got back... Anyway, Josh's stepmom got a bonus from work, and gave Josh money to help pay off his debt *____* Holy wow, ok so I mean to say she is paying the rest off! How awesome is that??? We went to dinner with them Friday night and that was discussed, and we told them out engagement was back on... Of course she is excited and her and Josh pretty much decided how the wedding will go right there (at their house, outside, oh, maybe in the back and you guys can stand in the gazebo and there can be candles and flowers in the pool and you can have so-and-so sing and...) ^^ Hehe, it was cute. Also they said they'd help Josh with putting a down-payment on... a house! OOOOOOOOMFG~!!! The idea that by this time next year we could be living in our own house is really exciting to us :DDD
This weekend has been pretty low-key. Ran around doing some things yesterday, we got a new comforter set, I actually bought some more xmas stuff at Target (90% off!), and took down the tree, then today it was return of the sicky-sick a bit... I'm pretty tired of this sick crap! I did manage to get some work in though, but I've been totally slack-ass about cleaning up the house. Tomorrow though I will get the dining room cleaned so I can sew again, and I'll clean up the bedroom closet at least ^^;
This week I have to go get my car inspected and do my registration... I have to actually go over to Lawrenceville to do that since the address on my license is a PO Box and you just cant do it via mail like that :/ Boo. Ah well.... Then Saturday there is an event at Spring4th that you all should keep an eye out for and attend ;)
