I ordered some stocking from stockingirl.com last week... I got these (pink leopard) and these in Antique Pink~ They came in today, but sadly the seamed stockings look too long for me T___T

But these are so awesome XD

Oh man I never did a follow-up post about a crappy cellphone pic I posted months ago~ Last year I did a little photoshoot for [livejournal.com profile] missmeganmaude for an ad for the Gothic & Lolita Bible *___*

I finally bought a copy for myself, yay! I don't have the original file on hand of the actual ad or pic we used but I found this one from the ones I received

Just a random post! Actually someone on egl posted asking for models... Time&Pics for Handmade Goodies = awesome. Anyway, I sent this pic along, and I wanted to post here too ^_^;

Finally got Windows 7 working right on my netbook after fighting with it all day yesterday. I haven't played around with it too much, but so far so good. I'll probably have a mini-review later~

Three things that make me happy!

1. The scent of honeysuckle in the evening
2. Eating & reading
3. Google Reader

---

It's been driving me MAD... The strong smell of honeysuckle in the evenings lately, I love it so! I wish I could capture that scent and keep it forever. There is a mass amount of bushes near the house so in evening I can go out and enjoy it now. I've been looking forward to this time for a while now, I'll be sad when they leave and take their beautiful happy-inducing scent away... It's a shame there isn't a bush of gardenia around, else I'd be in heaven I think *___* Anyway, I went so far as to Alchemy/request a perfume on etsy, hopefully someone will pull through~

Eating and reading, I'd sort of forgotten how much I enjoy doing both at once ^^ I had [livejournal.com profile] normal order Watership Down and The Plague Dogs for me after I spotted then at the bookstore... The Plague Dogs came first, I am about half-way through the book~ In the beginning I felt like many passages were too... I don't know, wordy, but then again it's been a while since I last read a book that wasn't Harry Potter ^^; I am totally hooked into the story now.. Hopefully Watership Down will come in soon as I'm sure I'll be finished by the week's end. The bag of potato chippies I'm eating at the same time? They'll be gone by tomorrow evening, no doubt. I have a jar of rice syrup that I still haven't opened, so tomorrow I might finally try using it to make cookies (I have been trying to cut down on my candy/sugar intake, slowly...)

Many thanks go to [livejournal.com profile] naesa for recommending Google Reader a few months ago... OMG, this is my favorite thing ever! I had been getting into following a variety of blogs outside of LiveJournal, but other blog sites don't have a 'friends list' type feature like LJ, so it's hard to keep up with 20+ random bloggers across the internets... Then the gods smiled down at me for once and Kristy posted about using Google Reader, and now I have been abusing it mercilessly. 63 subscriptions ranging from Anachrotech blogs to Wedding crap. Thank you Google, for existing.

Craziness! [livejournal.com profile] ozgolith sent me a link to Callanwolde Fine Arts Center, as a possible place for the wedding... [livejournal.com profile] normal's cousin got married here a few years ago, but oddly enough, I can one up that...

As I was browsing the site, a name jumped out at me, the architect, Henry Hornbostle... Hornbostle is my mother's maiden name, and well, how many Hornbostles do you know? I figured I must be related to this person... I don't know much family history so I had to call and check with my mom...

Well, it turns out, he was my great-grandfather! Whoa, holy unexpected!!! How freaking cool is that? Pretty cool in my book, since I'm a whore for nice architecture and history... He also designed Emory University... There's even a freaking book about him!

Crazy, I tell you! My mom was pretty excited to find this out too, and said 'her heart would sing if I got married there'.

We have these mutant patches of clovers around here... One day I found 17 four-leaf clovers in one go ^^ There are clovers stashed away in books all over the place, there are at least another 5 outside that I've left... I finally went and looked up how four-leaf clovers come to exist~

It is debated whether the fourth leaflet is caused genetically or environmentally. Its rarity suggests a possible recessive gene appearing at a low frequency. Alternatively, four-leaf clovers could be caused by somatic mutation or a developmental error of environmental causes. They could also be caused by the interaction of several genes that happen to segregate in the individual plant. It is possible all four explanations could apply to individual cases.

*yawn*

According to legend, each leaflet represents something: the first is for hope, the second is for faith, the third is for love, and the fourth is for luck.

Anyway, yesterday I was checking my mutant patch #2, and I found something I haven't found in quite a while:

A five-leaf clover! Score! I feel extra lucky now.

:) I had a really great weekend all-around~ We skipped out on going to the Masq, and instead made popcorn and watched 'The Man with the Golden Gun', the 9th film in our James Bond marathon that's been going on since Thanksgiving... A low-key evening, but it's always nice to cuddle up with a bowl of garlicky-buttery popcorn and my Josh <3

Today I drew a squirrel:

I did some other things as well, like I made my icon from a image [livejournal.com profile] scottopic posted. I might have also finished a website for [livejournal.com profile] missmeganmaude. I managed to run down the battery on the iPod [livejournal.com profile] ozgolith gave me.

But really, it's all about the squirrel~

Uuuuuuhgg, I worked last night, today I feel like I got hit by a truck, which is strange because all I did was work, no play, no drinking, no nothing but working. Which wasn't bad at all, no one gave me a hard time or tried to fuck with me. WEIRD. Post-holiday cheer maybe? I dunno. They were all kinda cheap though so I didn't get as many tips as usual, but the strippers and managers-of-strip-clubs pulled through for me! Hooray. I <3 strippers and managers-of-strip-clubs.

Anyway. Left here and got up to S4 around 11.30ish, worked, watched everyone have fun, and came home around 7.30ish... I slept like the dead and woke up around 2.30, and have done absolutely nothing but sit on my ass at my computer. Woot.

I really want to say I had a great time, but I didn't. There were some fun moments, but overall I was fairly bored and bored and bored some more. I've been in an irritable mood lately, and I'm sure that didn't help any.

Oh well. Yesterday we went a looked at houses to check prices and stuff... We found a neat house not too far from here, we got to go inside and take a look around. I'm not totally sold on it, we can find something better in my opinion, but it was still a really cool house. We trolled around some neighborhoods and got lost a few times and ended up in Mableton *scary*... Hit up the thrift store on our way home. I picked up a new sweater and a vintage pillow case or something, to reuse the fabric~ The Last Chance thrift store over here is pretty cool. Someone recently dropped off a couple bolts of fabric~ There is one I really wanted to buy, 8 yards for $9.00 of cute fabric I could use to make some lolita stuff... I'm waiting out for tomorrow when everything is half-off XD *uber-cheap* Heh.

Ok, time to actually get off the computer and get dressed (!), and find some food~

Uuuuuhg, I went to bed earlier and managed to fall asleep, only to wake back up at 2:30 ;o; Not fair!

Also, Beowulf for Xbox is totally made of suck and fail. Do not buy!

In addition... I went to the passport office today to send out my passport stuff. As it turned out, what I thought was my birth certificate is, in fact, NOT my birth certificate. So now I have to order the real deal. What a pain... I mean, I guess I should have known, as it doesn't have nearly as much info on it as Josh's, but, you know, it says 'Birth Registration Certificate' at the top.

Blaaaaaah. I don't know. I want to go back to sleeeeep!

So, when LJ decided it was going to have ads, it didn't bother me, because I had a paid account (many thanks again to [livejournal.com profile] chaiya for buying me some more time over the hols ^.~).

I was under the impression though, that only Sponsered+ account would be subjected to the ads though, and that Basic accounts would be ad-less. Apparently this is not so, as I'm seeing ads freaking everywhere >__< Also, damn. LJ takes a long freaking time to load, and sometimes times out now that I'm not with a paid account.

Oh well. Maybe once I get some monies I'll see how willing I am to drop them on a paid account again.

Anyway. WHICH IS MORE CREEPY? Cicek Vs Giant Piggy Bank )

I have a lot of weird things.
